Releases/Collector Focus: Disintegration - Luke Chueh
Gallery 1988 LA announced their latest print with Luke Chueh (teased) featuring his “Disintegration” image. Fans who missed out when the painting was first printed as a giclee on canvas last year (limited to 25 pieces) now have the chance to adorn their wall with this great image.
Measuring a whopping 25″ x 33″, the giclee print on archival paper is the largest print ever produced by Luke Chueh. The print is an edition of 100, is hand signed and numbered, and will go on sale Thursday, February 19th at 11am PST for $225. Nike Air Force 1 “Black History Month 2009″
Nike presents once again an Air Force 1 for the Black History Month 2009. This is certainly one of the nicer releases we have seen over the years for the occasion, because Nike worked with smart and subtle details on the upper.
“This limited edition sneaker features a predominately black leather upper with red and green accents on the inner lining, tongue and heel. The latter area also features the centennial logo of the African American culture surrounded by 44 stars. Obviously, this sneaker contains the same colorway of the African-American flag. More red and green is seen in the form of contrast stitching seen throughout the upper. To finish it off, this sneaker is complimented with a icy, clear sole. Supposedly, this feature represents the marble courtroom floors of the U.S. Supreme Court in which the African American culture won many civil rights battles. This release is all the more interesting seeing that 2009 marks the 100th year anniversary of the NAACP’s existence.”

Corvette Stingray Concept Unveiled in Chicago... BACK TO THE FUTURE!!!
A surprising debut at the Chicago Auto Show, the new Corvette Stingray Concept has been officially unveiled ahead of a starring role in Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen. With “zero intention to produce it” the super car is to be a skater with wheels for feet, that will play the Sideswipe “character” in the blockbuster movie. REALLY SICK!!
A New World’s Most Expensive Pen
The Aurora Diamante is the most expensive writing instrument till date. The pen features over 30 carats of De Beers diamonds, and is available in solid platinum or white gold versions.
It has a two-tone, rhodium-treated, 18KT solid gold nib and is personalized with a coat of arms, signature or portrait.
Aurora Pens says it is the only over 30 carat pen in the world. Apparently, only a single piece will be available for sale per year for around one million euros ($1.3 million).

Visvim Comes in Cuba
In a recent feature done up by Sense Magazine, Visvim was chronicled taking a visit to Cuba, mingling with the locals, and integrating their massive Japanese influence into Latin American culture. The result is really dope. B+

Designer Phillip Dean, a graduate of the transportation design department at Coventry University, has released a forward-thinking coupe concept for Jaguar: Jaguar C-XC. It's a mix between the Lamborghini Gallardo and the Batman Batmobile car!

The new Maybach Zeppelin.

Folk s/s 2009 Collection
You may have heard of Folk from their collaboration shoes with Kidrobot last year. However they do much more than shoes and actually started their brand with some very nice cut & sewns and knitwear.

Bounty Hunter s/s 2009
Japanese label Bounty Hunter has just released some images from their upcoming s/s 2009 season. Some nice cut & sewn pieces along with some small accessories are featured.
As always the collection is very dark and gritty, as even the photography tries to capture that theme. I like the cut & sewn pieces, especially the button up flannel and the Bounty Hunter black cut-off vest.
